I like many Americans was deeply saddened by the reelection of Obama, was quick to be ashamed of America and the people who voted for him, and also questioned why God would allow this to happen.  Today I started to reflect upon what happened and why.  Then it hit me that I wasn't trusting God, and He is still in control!  Perhaps God in his wisdom knew that Romney was not the right choice for us at this time.  Perhaps God in his wisdom knew that whomever got elected was going to face huge problems and why shouldn't Obama be the one to shoulder that responsibility?  After all he is the one who has misled, lied to the American people, and has further plans for the destruction of our Country as we have known and loved it.

He now has to "inherit" his own mess and can't blame it on someone else.  The media would have crucified Romney over the next four years for "ruining" Obama's hope and change plans -- and blamed him for all the problems.  I believe that our God will show this nation what happens when you allow Godless people to manage the gifts this nation has to offer and that He provided for us.

I believe He will expose Obama once and for all for the failure he is, and our corrupt media will not be able to save him.  I also believe that Obama's attitude and treatment of Israel is not looked upon by God as obeying his commands, and Obama will have to answer for that.  We have another Congressional election coming up in two years, and maybe we can get rid of some of the democratic critters that occupy Congress today.

Maybe in four years we can run a ticket for President and Vice President like Paul Ryan and Marco Rubio.  Maybe when  America again suffers serious setbacks, people will realize what a weak and corrupt management team we have and be tired of it.  I will not question God's wisdom or plans He has for us again, because He is in control and has always done what's best for us.  We are reminded that prayer isn't always answered in the way we would like at the time, but God does answer our prayers in His time and in a way that is best for His children.

So, let's keep the Faith, lay our worries at His feet and trust God to take care of us!

This was on my heart today, and I hope you all don't mind my expressing these thoughts to you.  I am in need of strength,  encouragement and understanding as are so many of the faithful and good Americans in our Country today!

This is a great sermon from Pastor Charles Garrison at Calvary Memorial Church in Southern Pines.  The story of Absalom is a lesson for the nation, particularly this year.  I have read the story of Absalom before, but in recent years it has become more and more obvious that we -- and all future generations -- are being warned.  I find it profoundly disturbing how many people are blinded by their heart's desire and vote knowing nothing.

Like you, I have been watching the truth unfold about the killings in Libya, the government coverup, the linkages to Turkey and Syria, the gunrunning and weapons supply to Al Qaeda and affiliate terrorist groups by our own government, the deliberate sacrifice of our Ambassador and those who tried to protect him, the despicable treatment of the families of the slain....  This treasonous story -- and, yes, there is now no doubt that treason has been committed and is still underway at the very top levels of our current government -- is so outrageous and so demoralizing, I simply haven't been able to sit down and write anything.  I have been devastated and disgusted.

Yes, our government has been involved in gunrunning to the rebels in Syria to bring down the Syrian regime.  Ambassador Chris Stevens was over his head involved in supplying captured Libyan and US-supplied arms to Al Qaeda in Syria through Turkey.  On the night of the attack in Libya, Ambassador Stevens met with the Turkish Consul General in the Benghazi consulate to discuss and arrange shipments via a Turkish ship through a Turkish port and thence into Syria.  Ambassador Stevens was the same man who -- on Obama's orders -- earlier supplied weapons to the Libyan Al Qaeda rebels fighting to bring down Muammar Gaddafi's regime with American and NATO air support.  This is all treasonous.  The Obama regime has been giving full aid and comfort to sworn active and proven enemies of the United States.  And these same rebels turned on Ambassador Stevens the night of September 11, 2012, and murdered him in defiant proclamation of contempt for his and his bosses' double-dealing and dishonesty and to demonstrate Islamic strength against the United States (the "Great Satan") on the anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attacks on the NY World Trade Center, Pentagon, and Washington.

To conceal this treason and deceit of the Administration, the regime concocted a tale of "spontaneous protests" caused by a laughable, amateur video which had not been seen my more than a few hundred people in this country and had gathered no worldwide exposure until publicized by the brazen lies of the White House and State Department.  The White House and State Department continued to lie about the Libyan attack for over two weeks!   They lied to the American public, to a complicit media, to Congress, and to the United Nations.  The reasons for the coverup and lies are clear:  (a) the nature of their treasonous actions would be devastating if it came to light during the elections and (b) it supported the efforts of the Islamic Brotherhood, with whom this Administration has allied itself, to undermine the First Amendment right to free speech by first discouraging "criticism" of Islam and then ultimately implementing "anti-blasphemy" laws.  The Obama Administration is in league with the enemies of the United States to weaken this nation, to subvert our Constitution, and to further the Islamic Caliphate.  The Administration is allied with the Islamic Brotherhood to support overthrow of existing regimes in the Middle East and has filled sensitive top government positions with members of the Islamic Brotherhood.

These people in government intentionally ignored pleas for two weeks before the attack for more reinforcements.  They had reports by the Ambassador himself that the consulate and he, himself, were being targeted.  The Administration/State Department had intelligence reports to the same effect.  They even had live real-time video from consulate and safe house cameras and from a camera-equipped drone flying overhead of the entire attack.  Yet they lied -- time after time after time.  Worse than that, they watched and listened in real time as the doomed Ambassador, marines and SEALs cried out for help and assistance.  They refused any help.  They let those people die a horrific death.  They calmly watched as they sacrificed these people to an agonizing slow death while they calmly plotted how best to cover it all up.  They are soulless.

People, this government is unconscionable and intolerable.  These lies are enough that criminal charges and prison time are warranted.  Perhaps even hanging for treason.  But, the lies from this government have flowed unceasingly.  Do not forget "Fast and Furious", the criminal gunrunning scandal into Mexico, for example!

The damage done by these abominable people to our nation economically, culturally, militarily, politically, and morally is so deep and widespread that the damage may not even be reversible.  We may -- we really may -- be witnessing the final sorry days of downfall of our once-great Republic.

People who voted for this abomination in 2008 had some excuses.  A treasonous media hid the reality, the background, the actual ideology of this man and his fellow henchmen from a willingly blinded electorate.  But now, after four years of damage and lies, those who vote for these demons again in 2012 have no excuse.  They do so willingly and, even if they do so in self-imposed ignorance, they do so with ample opportunity to see and understand what they do.  I can never forgive anyone who votes Democrat this time around.

I recorded this video a couple of weeks ago. It is my message to America. In it, I attempt to explain the global implications of the upcoming US elections.

This election is the most crucial in modern American history. It is not primarily about jobs and economics, it is about national security and, to be blunt, national survival.

America, and indeed the entire Western World, faces destruction if communist sympathizer Barack Obama is returned to office.

This video is being distributed all over the United States. Please watch it, and if you agree with the basic ideas expressed, send it out through your networks, to as many people as you can, conservative, liberal, undecided, it doesn’t matter.

Sometimes it takes an outside view to clarify important matters. I hope this message will serve that purpose.

I voted in Early One-Stop Voting.  I hope you have voted, too.

I held my nose and voted for Renee Ellmers.  She is a bad Republican, but she is far better than her opponent.  She is the "lesser of two evils".

I held my nose and voted for Pat McCrory.  He is a progressive, big government, environmentalist-nut Republican.  But is he far better than his opponent.  He is the "lesser of two evils".

I have listened to many folks whom I respect insisting they will not or have not voted for these two candidates on principle.  In most instances they voted for the Libertarian candidate as a "protest vote" or a "vote on principle".  The Libertarian candidates have zero -- ZERO -- chance of winning in this election.  And there are policies which they advocate that I simply cannot support as well.  But I understand the mindset.  I truly do.  I also stand on principles.  But I also am realistic enough to understand that we must move this county, state, and nation in a different direction.

Bill Whittle is much, much more eloquent than I can hope to be.  He says it better than I can say in the video below regarding the Presidential contest.  I urge you to view the video.

But here I will admit that I also used to feel the same way about Romney that I feel about Ellmers and McCrory.  I do not feel that way any longer.  Oh, I still hate the idea of "RomneyCare" just as much as I hate the idea of "ObamaCare".  Yes, I still believe that Romney tends toward progressivism.  His history shows that he is a Big Government Republican, which I oppose as much as I oppose Big Government Democrats.  I recognize that a "conservative" Republican from the far-left state of Massachusetts would be considered a liberal case down here in North Carolina.  So, Romney was nowhere near my first choice during the primaries.

But I have watched Romney.  I have researched Romney.  I have listened to him and studied him.  I can say these things:

●  Romney has run against the most formidable political foes.  He has run against Ted Kennedy.  He ran against a slate of Republicans in 2008.  And he has run against the Obama and Soros machines this time around.  These foes have scoured all records for any "dirt" on him.  These adversaries have managed to open sealed records on previous opponents to pull disastrous "October surprises".  They have spent millions of dollars -- heck, I'll wager they've spent tens of millions of dollars -- on private, thorough investigations of Mitt and all his family.  If there was anything there, it would have been played and spun and exaggerated to high heavens in the media by now.

●  The only things they have come up with were:  a lie about a haircut, a story about a dog riding in a carrier on the roof of a car, lies about Bain Capital after he left the firm, and a lie about killing a woman who died of cancer years after Romney left Bain and Bain was out of the picture and she had insurance through another employer.  Romney rode his dog to accompany the family on vacation; Obama ate dogs in Indonesia.  If this is the best his opponents can do, then Romney is "squeaky clean"!

●  Any man who has held as many prominent positions in and out of government yet who is still this "squeaky clean" has got to be a man of sterling unblemished character.  And, I tell you, character matters!  I may not agree with all of Romney's positions, but I know he is a man of good character.  He gives 30% of his income to charity.  By golly, I wish I could say as much for myself!  He has worked in leadership positions without pay.  He is a devout Christian -- and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!  Yes, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has some doctrines that I cannot accept.  But, then so do the Catholics, Methodists, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Charismatics.  I think we Christians had better begin thinking about what unites us and what we have in common -- and stop letting the atheists, Islamists, and communists divide us so easily!

●  Romney is, at least, the "lesser of two evils".  And I have always believed that given a limited choice of only two options, I have the moral imperative to pick the more principled and moral option -- and then fight on for what I believe in.  But based on his demonstrated and proven character, Romney is nowhere near the same category as Ellmers and McCrory.  He stands on a level far, far above them.  He is the CLEAR and ONLY choice for 2012!

Right behind the presidential election, the contest for NC Supreme Court Justice Paul Newby is the second most important race on your ballot.  Justice Newby's opponent is the grandson of a famous Democrat, but this grandson is much more far-left liberal than his grandfather.

If you want a conservative Supreme Court which will not be an activist court that legislates from the bench....  If you value Christian and conservative social principles, such as the recent Marriage Amendment, which will almost undoubtedly be challenged in court....  If you like the reforms which the first non-Democrat State Legislature in 140 years achieved over the past two years....  If you value a proven incorruptible jurist who has demonstrated impartiality and respect for Constitutional Law, then you should vote for Paul Newby.

It is not just on research that I offer this endorsement.  It is not merely hearing him speak on multiple occasions.  It is not simply because I have met his fine family.  It is all of this plus the conversations and interactions I have enjoyed which have enabled me to measure this man's character and beliefs.  Justice Newby is the principled jurist we need on the North Carolina Supreme Court.
