Definitions from now on, found in Webster’s Dictionary:

  • Political Correctness:  “Conforming to a belief that language and practices which could offend sensibilities (as in matters of sex or race) should be eliminated.”
  • Political:  “Relating to Government.”
  • Correctness:   “Agreeing with Truth and Facts.”
  • Oxymoron:   “A combination of contradictory words (such as Political Correctness).”
  • Heaven:   “A Spiritual State of everlasting communication withGod.”
  • Hell:   “The Realm of Satan in which the Damned suffereverlasting punishment and are eternally separated from God.”

So my first statement isTo Hell with Political Correctness!

Definitions from now on, found in Webster’s Dictionary:
  • Islam/Islamic/Muslim:  “The Muslim Culture built on Faith in ‘Allah’ as the Sole Deity and in Muhammad as his Prophet.”
  • Terrorism:  “The systematic use of intense fear, violence, and destruction to coerce a people or a government.”
  • Koran/Quran:  “The Sacred Book of Islam written by the ProphetMuhammad.”

So my second statement is:  Since all attacks including 9/11 have been made by Muslims against American people using tools of terrorism, then they should be called ‘Muslim Terrorists’.

Definitions from now on, found in Webster’s Dictionary:
  • Islam Law/Sharia Law:  “The set of Cultural and Civil Laws dictated by the Koran for use by Muslims.”

Muslim Brotherhood:   GOP concerns about Muslim Brotherhood infiltration at the highest levels of the Obama Administration recently got confirmation from an Egyptian magazine, Rose El-Youssef.  The article, which was translated into English by the Investigative Project on Terrorism, named six influential Muslims within and without the Obama Administration who it said turned the White House “from a position hostile to Islamic groups and organizations in the world to the largest and most important supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood.”  The six named in the article are:
  • Rashad Hussain, U.S. special envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference
  • Arif Alikhan, assistant secretary of Homeland Security for policy development
  • Eboo Patel, President Obama’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships
  • Mohammed Elibiary, Homeland Security Advisory Council
  • Salam al-Marayati, co-founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council
  • Imam Mohamed Magid, Islamic Society of North America president.

Last June, five Republican members of Congress raised the mainstream media’s hackles and alarmed the Left by sending a letter to Homeland Security and heads of other agencies raising questions about infiltration of the Obama Administration by the Muslim Brotherhood, which is an umbrella group for Islamist terrorist groups around the world that has called for restoration of the Muslim caliphate and ultimately global dominance.  That letter was met with manufactured outrage and spin from the Left and RINOs in Congress, such as Sen. John McCain, who tried to spin the matter as a personal attack on Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s top aide, Huma Abedin, whose family has undisputed ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. Questions about her security clearance were only a small section of the letter, though it was almost all the mainstream media discussed.  Republican congressman Louie Gohmert, one of the five signatories to the letter, has called for a full-scale investigation of Muslim Brotherhood influence, particularly in light of the Administration’s involvement in the “Arab Spring” uprisings across the Muslim world.

Modern Progressivism/Marxist Communism:   A campaign for economic, political, and social reform called the Progressive movement wants increased government regulations of business and a series of tax reforms and increases.  In 1890, Congress passed the Sherman Antitrust Act and then in 1914, Congress set up the Federal Trade Commission to stop illegal Business practices.  Political reforms at the Federal level include the 17th Amendment to the Constitution which provided for the Direct election by people of their US Senators.  The Social Reformed Progressives supported the unions, safety laws, and improved living and working condition in the work place.  The Progressive Party was formed officially in 1948, but the movement has now joined the Democrat Party.

Marx was the chief founder of two of the most powerful mass movements in history – Democratic Socialism and Revolutionary Communism.  Marx was a German Social Philosopher who live in the 1800’s.  Lenin was the leader that used Marx’s ideas to produce Marxism.

So my Third statement isPresident Obama is a Modern Progressive who supports all Muslims including the Muslim Brotherhood (A Terrorist Group); therefore, President Obama supports terrorism.  He should be impeached now.

Orson Scott Card
The malignant effects of political correctness on our society continue apace.  I wrote a column in my old newspaper more than 20 years ago predicting that what was then the infant PC movement would lead to thought control, or attempts at it anyway, in our political discourse.  Well, let me just say I told you so.

The political correctness movement was Orwellian from the start, playing with words and changing the language in ways that obfuscated reality.  Janitors became custodial engineers, poor people became disadvantaged, cripples became otherly abled.  As was inevitable, using the previously acceptable words soon became an offense to good taste and evidence of bigotry.  So, everyone played the game and began using the often absurd synonyms that the high priests of PC ordained that we use.

Work places jumped on the bandwagon, so now, if you used one of the banned words, even privately, there was the danger of being disciplined or fired.  Corporations rushed to see who could be the most PC of all.  That later morphed into seeing who could be the most green, the most diverse, the most accepting of government intrusions into the private lives of workers, such as local ordinances that required companies to tell government how each employee got to work (this happened in Durham in 2000).

Soon, those who chafed at these restrictions on their freedoms just shut up and took it.  At least we can believe what we believe, they wrongly assumed.  But that was not to be, either.  You couldn’t be against affirmative action or the radical gay agenda without being tarred as racist or homophobic.  Many employers and corporations, not wanting to be associated with either of those charges, made it clear what employees had to do to think in the “right” way, even if it violated one’s religious teachings or political beliefs.

The case of writer Orson Scott Card and gay activists who protest his being a writer for DC Comics exemplifies the downward spiral we’ve been in due to political correctness:

A writer for DC Comics‘ Superman series has come under attack by homosexual rights activists, who view his work as anti-gay and want him fired.

Orson Scott Card is one of a team of writers and artists to create the new digital DC Comics product, “Adventures of Superman,” according to a report from Fox News.  Mr. Card is a Mormon and vocal opponent of gay marriage.  Fox News reported he once referred to same-sex marriage as the end of democracy in American and suggested “the left is at war with the family.”

Mr. Card also wrote:  “Same-sex attraction is not a strait jacket; people’s desires change over time; gay people still have choices; a reproductive dysfunction like same-sex marriage is not a death sentence for your DNA or for your desire to have a family in which children grow up with male and female parents to model appropriate gender roles,” Fox News reported.

For those who don’t know, Card is a world-renowned science-fiction writer, author of the mega-successful books Ender’s Game and Speaker For The Dead.  He lives in Greensboro and writes a weekly column for The Rhinoceros Times, a Greensboro weekly that includes once each month a 16-page edition of the John Locke Foundation’s Carolina Journal.

Thousands of gay activists are petitioning DC to fire Card, but, to their credit, the comic book company seems to be resisting:

Fox News reports that DC Comics is so far standing by Mr. Card’s “personal views.”

And that’s the point.  They are his personal views.  He’s not out physically harming gays, or keeping them from getting employed, or even married.  He’s just expressed his views that are based on his religious beliefs.  But beliefs that go against the multicultural ethos of our times are becoming, in the view of those who push political correctness, tantamount to hate crimes.

If you sat down and dreamed up a concept and an ideology designed to destroy free speech and freedom of thought, you couldn’t come up with a better one than political correctness.

I was raised to respect the law.  I was trained in school about the Rule of Law and Equal Justice Under the Law -- about the essential nature of just laws to maintain societal order.  I was informed in church about the sacredness of Truth and higher laws that apply to men and societies.

All nations have borders.  They always have had borders.  Before there were nations, there were kingdoms and tribal territories.  All had borders.  All societies from the time man stopped depending upon nomadic hunting, have established borders which defined and contained their societies.  This is no less true today than it was in the first farming enclave.

What is different today is that we have a whole slew of greedy selfish people in the United States who care nothing for the Rule of Law, for Equal Justice Under the Law, or for societal survival.  All these people care about is their own selfish interests and their agenda for controlling others.  These people are willing to blatantly lie.  They will twist the language.  They will employ deceit and intimidation to have their way.

After reading of the illegal immigrant telling Congress "not to call him illegal" and seeing illegal immigrants flagrantly glorified by our evil president at last night's State of the Union, I cannot hold my tongue.  Someone must call these jackals out.

Yes, Mr. Vargas, you are illegal!  You -- or your family as a whole -- broke our laws and came into our country illegally.  You are "undocumented" because you are illegally here.  You are a foreign national illegally residing in this nation; therefore, you are alien to this nation.  You are, Mr. Vargas, an illegal alien!

Please pull out a dictionary and read the definition of alien:

alien n (14c)
1 : a person of another family, race, or nation
2 : a foreign-born resident who has not been naturalized and is still a subject or citizen of a foreign country ; broadly: a foreign-born citizen

Don't try to tell me that words have "new" or no meaning.  If the meanings of words can be changed at will by anyone with an agenda, then the language is useless.  If we allow folks like you and that stupid Michigan politician to manipulate the meanings of words on their own whims, then words become meaningless, and society fails.

I am convinced now more than ever that societal destruction is the plan of the leftists, the Islamists, and the illegal aliens.  There seems to be a loose coalition of people whose aim is to destroy our current society and form of government, replacing it with something "closer to their hearts' desire" (See Fabian Socialists).

Well I, for one, will not surrender my language nor my nation nor my faith nor my society nor my Liberty to a bunch of self-centered, lying, deceitful cronies.  I will not give into your ever-expanding idea of "political correctness".  No.  Mr. Vargas, you are an illegal alien who does not even possess respect for the nation you invaded or the people upon whom you intend to impose your presence and will -- regardless of laws, justice, or any resistance to your intrusions.  You, sir, are so arrogant and self-serving that you surely defame and shame your own home country as well as our own.

Legal immigrants are wonderful additions to our nation.  The vast majority of legal immigrants wish to integrate with our society, and they respect our laws and society.  Illegal aliens such as yourself, Mr. Vargas, are like termites, intending to feast on the foundations of our society while undermining and destroying its integrity.  Fie on you, sir -- and on the Michigan politician you rode in on.

And this corrupt administration refuses to enforce immigration laws and protect the borders even while promising to do so in order to induce spineless Congress into concessions of amnesty.  Even while Janet Napolitano, who knows nothing about truth, lies that the borders are "more secure than ever".  You can read the transcript of Chris Crane's testimony here.

Moore Tea Citizens held their final Saturday Seminar of 2012 at the Douglass Community Center on Pennsylvania Avenue in Southern Pines, NC, beginning at 11:00 am. Two fine speakers/moderators led the audience through discussions of politics and Christianity: Pastor Joshua Haire of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Southern Pines and Dr. Tim Johnson, Founder and CEO of the Frederick Douglass Foundation and former Vice-Chair of the NC Republican Party.

The program was most informative, enlightening, and provocative. Three videos were shown, which are embedded in this recording of the event. One of the primary messages is that Christians must vote based on Christian and Biblical principles. Christians cannot simply go to Church on Sunday and then vote contrary to their Faith on Tuesday.

Mad Alfred Neumann
_Golly gee!  Is there anyone left alive who doesn't realize how incredibly insane government has become these days?  In my younger days, I used to enjoy the humorous lunacy of Mad Magazine.  It's still around, by the way....  But no lunacy they might write could ever match the unbelievable madness coming out of our federal and state governments.  As they say, "You just can't make this stuff up!"

I'm going to give you two examples today.  Of course, if you haven't already learned of these absurdities by now, then I have to ask, "Where have you been?"  But nevermind....

The first one involves our mad morons at the Environmental Protection Agency.  You know....  The ones who are trying their best to take us back to the good ole horse and buggy days.  (But they would insist on horses somehow bred to have a smaller "carbon footprint"!)  What have the idiots at the EPA done this time?

Why, the EPA is fining gasoline refineries and producers for not using a biofuel additive mixture which does not even exist!  First, they passed a regulation requiring that a set percentage of certain "biofuels" -- which did not exist -- must be mixed with gasoline produced at refineries.  Then, when the "biofuels" were not added -- because they don't exist -- the producers are being fined!  Great gig if you can get it, right?!  Wish in one hand, EPA, and want in the other, and see which one fills up first....  Oh.  Yeah.  You're the all-powerful ruling class.  If your wishes don't work, you want fines and more power.  I see.  No, you simply can't make this stuff up!  And it doesn't matter that gasoline prices are hurting the nation and our economy more now than ever before, let's fine 'em more and kick those prices on up there!  Remember: "Under my Administration, energy prices will necessarily skyrocket."  -- Barack Hussein Obama, June, 2009

_My second example involves the feckless asinine dolts we elected to Congress.  Egads!  When are we going to begin electing people with some part of a real brain to represent us?  (That's a rhetorical question.  I don't have that much faith anymore in a large part of the American electorate.)  Yes, our elected representatives passed the Wildlife Protection Act of 2010 during the waning hours of Nancy and Harry's heyday right before the 2010 elections.  Ah, yes!  The gift these despicable despots gave to the country is on full display now in Washington D.C. and Virginia!

You see, the glorious wonderful "Occupy" crowd has spawned a rat explosion in Washington D.C. due to their "modern" (read that decadent, filthy, unsanitary personal hygiene and living standards) and their "concern for the environment" (read that unsanitary, garbage-laden, trashy, primitive conditions in their "camps").  So, now Washington D.C. has a rat infestation problem.  So, what's the solution?  Well, under the Wildlife Protection Act of 2010, the pest control -- excuse me, they are now called wildlife management services providers in the politically correct newspeak of the Beloved Leader and his benevolent Administration -- ok, the wildlife management services providers cannot harm the pests -- no, another mistake, please strike that...I mean protected species.... -- no the wildlife management services providers cannot harm the protected species in relocating them to new and better homes.  This is no joke.

No the wildlife management services providers must live-trap the protected species -- no tape or glues allowed! -- and be sure to capture them in families so as not to separate any protected rodent from his/her family (not sure how you tell easily which rats are in a family, but I suppose that's irrelevant).  Once a family of protected species have been taken into protective custody, they must be relocated to suitable habitat at least 25 miles from the original location.  In this case, that means the good folks of Washington D.C. will be relocating their rat problem -- oh golly, I mean protected species -- to the good folks in Virginia.

Suffice it to say, the good Virginians aren't too pleased with hosting Occupy Washington's pest problem -- darn it, protected species.  They're complaining.  But to no avail!  No!  Congress has spoken, and the Benevolent Administration is diligently ensuring that the Wildlife Protection Act of 2010 is enforced.  Next, there's talk about a squirrel problem in Washington D.C. caused by the squirrels acting like rats and over-multiplying from all the "food" made available by the Occupy "protestors".  So, I suppose our good friends in Virginia will also get the opportunity to provide homes for D.C.'s excess squirrels, too.  Oh joy!

You just can't make this stuff up!

Now, this piece is already long enough, and I've only covered two small examples.  Yes, our federal and state governments have gone insane.  The world is upside-down.  The inmates are in charge of the asylum.  We have stepped through a looking glass, and I'm not certain we can find our way back.  We'll see in 2012.....

_Pepsi Beverages Co. has agreed to a $3.1 million settlement to end federal charges of racial discrimination over its hiring practices - but this wasn't the sort of discrimination that once existed in the Jim Crow South.  Pepsi was guilty of racial discrimination as defined by government bullies at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.  Increasingly, the EEOC has used the battering ram of discrimination, as the EEOC loosely defines it, to promote "diversity" at all costs.  And no matter if this means sacrificing the concept of meritocracy (critical to free-markets and democracy) for the sake of their ideological agenda.

So what was Pepsi's sin as defined by EEOC bureaucrats and their liberal cheerleaders?  Pepsi had administered the same pre-employment screening to all job applicants regardless of their race, color, or creed.  Specifically, Pepsi used criminal background checks to screen job seekers -- something it presumably did to measure the content of every job applicant's character.  Applicants with arrest records (though not necessarily convictions) were disqualified, and Pepsi also turned away applicants convicted of minor offenses.

The trouble was is that the background checks were, according to the EEOC, disqualifying higher numbers of blacks than whites because - well - more blacks applying to Pepsi had higher numbers of arrests!  Or as the Associated Press noted in an article:  the EEOC said Pepsi's discriminatory background checks "can limit job opportunities for minorities with higher arrest and conviction rates than whites."

In a statement, the EEOC was practically gloating over Pepsi's settlement:

"The EEOC's investigation revealed that more than 300 African Americans were adversely affected when Pepsi applied a criminal background check policy that disproportionately excluded black applicants from permanent employment.  Under Pepsi's former policy, job applicants who had been arrested pending prosecution were not hired for a permanent job even if they had never been convicted of any offense.

Pepsi's former policy also denied employment to applicants from employment who had been arrested or convicted of certain minor offenses.  The use of arrest and conviction records to deny employment can be illegal under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, when it is not relevant for the job, because it can limit the employment opportunities of applicants or workers based on their race or ethnicity."

Pepsi, after being dragged through the EEOC's rabbit hole, agreed to make amends with new hiring policies more sensitive to minorities.  Even so, Pepsi spokesman Dave DeCecco told the AP that Pepsi's old hiring policy had been neutral, and that the EEOC had in fact not found any intentional discrimination.

"We are committed to promoting diversity and inclusion and we have been widely recognized for our efforts for decades," he was quoted as saying.  To be sure, Pepsi will still look at job seekers criminal histories, but a more "individualized approach" will now be taken -- one that considers criminal histories within the context of the job being sought.

As part of the settlement, the more than 300 black applicants who were turned down for employment will get suitable job offers and split up most of the $3.1 million.  Pepsi also "will provide the EEOC with regular reports on its hiring practices and offer anti-discrimination training to its hiring personnel and managers," according to the AP.

Pamela Devata, a Chicago employment lawyer, told the wire service that the EEOC has stepped up complaints about background checks over the past year.  "The EEOC has taken a very aggressive enforcement posture on the use of criminal background and criminal history," she was quoted as saying.

Under the Obama administration, the EEOC's Pepsi shakedown is apparently nothing new.  The AP noted that the settlement, which was announced on Wednesday, "is part of a national government crackdown on hiring policies that can hurt blacks and Hispanics."

Alice-in-Wonderland indeed!  Or perhaps the better term is Obama-in-Wonderland.

_I am sitting here at a quarter to ten this Christmas Eve in the midst of family with the soft glow from the tiny lights of the Christmas tree in the next room.  Most of the family is watching Miracle on 34th Street for the millionth time on cable TV.  I'm despondent.   This is the first Christmas that I cannot get into the Christmas spirit at all.  Why?

It's not from lack of trying.  We put up all the decorations at home.  We had eighteen of my family over for a Christmas celebration with a bounty of fine food, and everything went wonderfully.  But it just didn't seem as warm this year.

We traveled here to spend Christmas with my wife's folks.  They've been great.  We went to church service earlier this evening.  I really wanted to feel the warm spirit of Christmas again.  I yearned for the hopeful faith and renewed confidence that all will work out for the best according to God's plan.  During the service, I began to realize why I was feeling very uncomfortable.

We went to my in-law's church, Seaside United Methodist Church.  The service began with a contemporary song, pretty but lacking in any of the gripping feeling and splendor of traditional Christmas hymns.  Next came Joy to the World, the ceremony of the Advent Wreath and responsive readings.   That's when it first hit me.  Everywhere the word "men" was used in the traditional liturgy, these people had substituted the politically correct word "all".

But it didn't stop there.   There were readings containing the phrase the "God's Chosen People", you know... the Jews.  But these people didn't say Jews or Jewish anywhere during the service.   And instead of "Chosen People", they actually used the phrase "God's Special People"!   Can you imagine?!  Immediately a vision of the "short bus" popped into my head!

The service was filled with political correctness.  There were a few of the lighter popular "carols", but none of the moving, majestic hymns and classics.  Nothing with any real gravitas.  A couple of the songs were "contemporary" pieces that I had never heard before, and the words were fluffy, vanilla pablum.  The entire service was a watered down politically correct facsimile of the Christmas service that I remember, expected, and hoped for.   Has this congregation of Christians forgotten what they worship?  Have they forgotten the history of their faith?  Are they just going through the motions in a last days mimicry of Christian worship?  I'm afraid so.

The Methodist Church is now entwined with numerous progressive and globalist organizations which have corrupted the gospel.  I should not have been surprised at the nature of the Christmas service which incorporated so much of this leftist and globalist politically correct corruption.  But it slapped me in the face, literally.

It was a perfect ending, however, to a perfectly awful week of news.  Everywhere I read about the cultural decay (shootings over Nike shoes in department stores), idiocy in our government (too many examples to cite), the coming financial collapse, the rigged (if not, please explain it to me) primary process, and the daily reports of new losses of individual freedom.  I was already seriously depressed.

Tomorrow my middle son will arrive with his not-yet-officially-announced fiance.   They are both polar opposites from myself and the rest of the family regarding politics.  I love my son; I pity his fiance for her politics; and I absolutely dread the walking-on-eggshells that will go on tomorrow after his arrival.  If we could simply harness the charge in the atmosphere while they are here, we could power the wing-nut city of Los Angeles for a year, I'm sure, with the excess energy.

Why are you reading this?  Did you need to spend two minutes of your precious lifetime on my grieving for the country and culture that we've lost?  I just had to tell someone -- everyone -- how much I fear for our country.  If people do not wake up and understand what they are losing as they sleep and play, there is no hope.   Like the Christmas service that I attended this evening, our lives will be transformed into a shallow, pretentious facsimile of their former grandeur.

I looked around that congregation as they left the church.  I listened to their chatter and comments.   I do not think they will help us at all.  May God Save Us! (from ourselves)
