Four Local Moore TEA Heroes!A few Moore Tea patriots gathered at Dee and Bro's home today, October 29, to celebrate the successful purchase of much needed audio-visual equipment to support our public events, especially our monthly suppers. The projector we had been using was faulty and under-powered. We needed more loudspeakers for big rooms and outdoor events. We needed wireless connectors to eliminate long hazardous cabling. We needed a bigger and brighter projection screen, along with stands and miscellaneous components to make it all work.

But we had a problem. There simply wasn't enough money in the Moore Tea accounts to cover this kind of major purchase ($1,375.00). That's when some heroic folks stepped up to the plate and shouldered the burden themselves. Allen Coburn offered an extremely generous donation of $750 toward the much needed equipment. John Oltesvig made some professional equipment available to the group at a very attractive price, and also added a generous contribution of his own. Craig DeSpain researched the alternatives and compiled a list of all that was needed. With another generous donation from Bill Cochrane, the total amount needed for this special purchase was almost there.
Dee and Bro put on a continental breakfast for the small group which has worked on this project. Please thank Allen, John, Craig and Bill the next time you see them!

Moore Tea Citizens has a budget, too! Thank you!
We have a great organization! We have many great members and a wonderful cadre of committee coordinators and team leaders. When you reflect on all that Moore Tea Citizens has accomplished since our formation in early 2009, it really is quite amazing.
All of us work very hard, and all time is, of course, strictly on a volunteer basis. No one gets paid a dime. And everyone works very hard to make every dollar of donated funds go as far as we can possibly stretch it. But, like any household or company, Moore Tea has actual expenses. We have a budget and bills to pay. Among our major continuing costs are : * Internet costs, such as our robocalls and ConstantContact email distributions. * Printing, office supplies, postage, etc. * Event costs for venues, fees, licenses, and expense reimbursements for special guests. * Legal expenses (e.g. for 501(C)4 certification) * DVDs and materials for Saturday showings. * Even the pocket Constitutions and U.S. flags that we give out. So, you see we do need your help with money. Moore Tea has taken great pride in never charging dues and never pressuring our members for donations. We trust in our Members to do what they can, and we trust in Divine Providence to further our work. We have never been disappointed. |

We hate to ask, but we must. But we will never ask you for more than you can freely and comfortably give.
We promise that we will never tolerate any waste of your donated funds. We will use them as frugally as we can to support our Tea Party goals and work. And we are certain that you will see a good value for every hard-earned dollar that you spend with us. We will apply all proceeds from sales of Tea Party merchandise to the operation of Moore Tea Citizens. And we will not incur new recurring costs that we cannot support with our strict budget process.
