Israel - History and Current Events
Why is this section on a Tea Party Site?Many might ask this question, and at first it does seem like a bit of an anomaly or a tangential issue for a Tea Party site. So, I'll take this space to explain why I believe it is crucial to have a section of this site dedicated to Israel:
● The Judeo-Christian heritage and history forms the basis for the Founding of the United States. I don't care what this socialist Administration has said in the form of lies to the contrary. This is a Christian Nation in its Founding and history, and although we proudly welcome people of all religions to this great Republic and we cherish their contributions, our Judeo-Christian heritage is the basis for all our laws, system of jurisprudence, our Rights given by our Creator, the idea that every individual is of equal value in the sight of the Lord, and, thus, our ideals of Individual Liberty (coming directly from the Self-Determination granted to mankind by God) and of Individual Responsibility came directly from the Judeo-Christian history. ● If this be true, and the veracity cannot be denied, then we have an intense and vested interest in the affairs of Israel and the Middle East. ● Israel is our best ― actually our only ― ally in the Middle East. In the coming storm, if Israel falls the forces will only turn their attention toward us. Remember, Israel is called by our enemies "The Little Satan". Our enemies call the United States "The Great Satan". Our fortunes are intertwined and cannot be untangled. ● The old hatreds, the old curses of the Jewish people, the old promises to exterminate them, the old lies and propaganda are all coming back into the open in the Middle East. And they are even now daring to appear in Europe and the Unites States. The Holocaust is being forgotten and is being outright denied. It must not be allowed to happen again. ● "And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing; And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed." (Genesis 12:2-3) I don't know about you, but I have decided which side I will stand on. And so, Israel is of foremost importance. Little IsraelLook how small little Israel is on the map of the Middle East. So tiny, and yet this land has been at the epicenter of world struggles for 4,000 years. Little Israel contains some of the most fought over territory in the entire world ― for example, the ancient city of Megiddo, at the entrance to the Jezreel Valley ― a.k.a. "The Fields of Armageddon".
Why has this land been so embattled for thousands of years? Why have the Jewish People been persecuted, slaughtered, enslaved, and hated by so many for so long? Well, many of us believe in the message of the Old Testament of the Holy Bible. We believe that the battle is over the very future of mankind. From the moment that Jehovah promised Abraham that his people would be the Chosen People of God ― that his children and posterity would share a special Holy Covenant with God ― Satan has tried to destroy that covenant in the never-ending battle between Good and Evil. From the moment the Jewish nation was given the Promised Land by God as promised to Moses, the fighting for this tiny patch of ground has intensified as never before. What else could explain the thousands of years of history centered on this Holy Land? |
The Western Wall
I was overcome as I approached the wall.
I honestly have never felt closer to God.
The emotions were overwhelming.
I placed my hand on one of the huge stones.
It felt like a source of great power and truth.
I closed my eyes.
I silently prayed. Minutes passed.
I tucked the small piece of paper on which I had written my heartfelt prayer between the stones.
I closed my eyes again and felt peace.
With wobbly steps, I made my way back up the ramp.
I will never forget.
I still believe my prayer will be answered and fulfilled.
This is a place of profound holiness and history. The Jewish people laid these stones. The Jewish people built their Temple on the Temple Mount above. The Temple Mount is now occupied by a Muslim mosque and is off-limits to the Jewish People. The Muslims claim this land and say the Jewish people are occupying "Palestinian Territory". Now they throw stones down upon the Jewish worshippers from the Temple Mount above.
There was never a nation called Palestine. The Roman Emperor coined the name "Palestine" after the Jews rebelled against Roman rule and persecution. He meant it to be an insult and a denigration of the Jewish nation. The lie of "Palestine" has permeated the Western World through the insidious corruption of "political correctness" which, like Islam, seeks to undermine and destroy the Western culture and the Christian faith.
The power I felt in this place is greater than all the lies of the Left and Islam. The Light will drive out the Darkness, and true Justice will be restored. The lies of "social justice" and the deceit of evil will be destroyed. Given time, evil destroys itself. The One True God, Jehovah, will speed that process along. Amen.
