School Board Candidate Forum
Reverse the Downward Trend"Moore County Schools" (our school district) is increasing costs and decreasing quality.
We have a real opportunity to reverse that in November. Come observe and question the candidates, yourself. Moore Tea Citizens has developed a well-earned reputation for hard but fair candidate forums. Come see what your choices really are. |

When: Monday, August 24
Where: Filly and Colt's Restaurant, in the Little River Golf Resort
500 Little River Farm Blvd., Carthage, NC (see map and photo, below)
Note: The entrance to Little River Farm Blvd is blocked from Hwy 22
Cost: No cost for admission or parking (a voluntary donation chest will be available if you are able to contribute to MTC)
Dinner: Dinner includes dessert and coffee, hot tea and iced tea – $16 + tax
Beverages: Adult and other beverages are available
Dress Code: Casual
Registration: We don't turn away anyone, BUT if you know ahead of time that you're coming, please let us know. Filly & Colt's is not yet open to the public. The food and space they prepare for us, and the staff they schedule to work, are based on the registration numbers we report to them ahead of time. Registration is not a data collection ploy so please let us know you're coming.
- 5:00 pm — Social time and time to purchase beverages and/or dinner
- 5:30 pm — Dinner
- 6:00 pm — Forum begins with open statements
- 7:30 pm — Program ends

*The restaurant portion of Filly & Colt's is not open to the public on Monday nights and the owners make a special exception for us, in addition to giving us the best deal available in the county. Please help them and our volunteers to prepare by getting your order in before the clock runs out.
