NC Supreme Court Gives Big Win for School Choice – A key point is that this was a 4-3 decision, with the 4 more conservative justices in the majority, with the 3 more liberal justices in the minority. Judicial elections are important. Justice Bob Edmunds, who was in the majority (and who spoke to MTC earlier this year), is up for reelection in 2016 in a retention election, where voters will have the opportunity to vote "for" or "against" keeping Justice Edmunds for another 8-year term.
