Who: Anyone who can do a casual, 1-mile walk, and we still have an empty seat in one of the convertibles for someone who cannot make the walk. Dogs must be on leash and well-behaved.

Time Requirement: 1 hour

Where: Pinehurst Village Hall, 395 Magnolia Road, Pinehurst, NC

When: Saturday, March 25. Assembly is at 10:45 am and the parade starts at 11:00 pm ("promptly" according to organizers). As the route is less than a mile, the parade will last about 20 minutes.

Why:
  • Being in a parade is fun!
  • It introduces and reinforces with our fellow citizens "The Tea Party" is just their neighbors; people who care about our communities
  • Parades are fun opportunities to introduce children to being involved citizens and celebrating our culture and heritage. After all, they'll actually be part of the parade!
  • Participation unabashedly demonstrates that, regardless of our individual religious beliefs or ethnic background, we support the right of citizens to publicly participate in and celebrate American traditions and the Judeo-Christian beliefs on which they are founded
  • It puts us in the public eye in a positive circumstance. We can't influence our fellow citizens if they don't know we exist.
