I have read more documents than any member of congress and fully support our president. There was no obstruction and no collusion and when Barr finishes his work, the American people will know how the FBI broke protocol to spy on the trump campaign. The President is right to investigate to origins of this investigation because they were biased and politically motivated. (May 21, 2019) |
THIS is one of the reasons you are wrong if you are simply an "R-voter" (or a "D-voter"). This guy is an out-and-out, vile bigot. A year or so ago, Moore Tea Citizens was the object of his ignorant, stupid, white supremacist hatred.
NC House District 42 is Democrat-heavy, so this loon is unlikely to be elected, but you are one of those "I could never vote for a Democrat (or Republican)" people, this should serve as a cautionary note. Every decent person in the 24th, regardless of voter registration, should vote for the Democrat in November. by Matt Horsley
Appearances can deceive, especially in political fights where appearances can be manipulated. I am a member Gun Owners of America and of Grass Roots North Carolina, an NRA life member, and am active in the Moore County Tea Party. I was concerned by the conflicting information about Michelle Lexo’s stance on gun control. I watched the infamous high capacity magazine comment video, listened to both Mr. McInnis and Mrs. Lexo battle it out in person, and saw the dismal ”D” rating the NRA-PVF gave her. The incongruences were so significant that I asked to interview her. She sat for a lengthy interrogation—I don’t use that words lightly—and this is the verbal report on my findings. The bottom line? I am convinced Michelle Lexo, if elected will be an active ALLY to those of us who fight for the rights protected by the 2nd Amendment. I am so certain that I’m here putting my reputation on the line. Michelle Lexo has been carrying concealed for several years and is an NRA member. The folks at the NRA never contacted her to clarify points of concern or rumors it may have been passed, nor did they didn’t get back to me about how they derived their rating. Regardless, I’ve found it simply unjustified. Michelle Lexo is not an active shooting sports enthusiast. She is an average citizen whose concern is self-protection. She readily admitted she doesn’t know a lot about the many issues surrounding guns but is now actively educating herself. She has only a revolver and knows little about magazines in semi-automatic firearms. What she DOES know is that she’s unaware of any gun control actions that have improved the public safety, or any that might. She thinks improving access to mental health care may short-circuit would-be murderers, but that a gun, like a knife or truck, is simply a tool, not an actor. She is an ardent anti-statist and believes the national and state governments are far too involved in things that should be managed by counties, municipalities and individuals. My purpose was to set the record straight on a matter of concern to reasonable patriots. I hope I’ve done that. I can't prove Speaker Paul Ryan's intent, but as a intellectually honest, keen observer, the goal of the Swamp (AKA the Establishment, Dems and Repubs) is clear: destroy the Trump presidency and grow government.
Ryan will file a brief with Supreme Court to try to block Obama’s immigration policies. Why? Because Trump is now threatening to cancel DACA, which he correctly condemned as unconstitutional (which it is) when he was a candidate. So, for FIVE YEARS this dictatorial power grab has been in place and the Republicans are only now challenging it? All that this cynical ploy lacks is a long string of show-votes sent to Obama for certain veto like the Republicans did with Obamacare. This is NOT a "Do Nothing" Congress, it is an "Undermine the President and Maintain An Immense, Overbearing Government That We Control" Congress. Reality: The Democrats are out-of-the-closet Socialists and Communists, so far from Truman and JFK that those men would be considered "conservatives," by the modern party (think Jim Webb. That is clear. What about the GOP? You loyal Republicans need to smell coffee. It's frightening, but you need to do it. You've been assuming that the Republican politicians who say they believe what you do will actually work for what they promise you. How's that working out for you? They cast occasional good votes, yes, but the aggregate is a lie and you know it. Obamacare? The border wall? Tax cuts? Stopping national money funding Planned Parenthood and Public Radio/TV? Stopping Common Core and the insidious (and growing) control on education by the NEA and other neo-Marxist organizations? "We're only one half of one third of the government. Give us the Senate and..." "We're only one branch of government. Give us the White House and..." "The Democrats can filibuster everything we want to do in the Senate. Give us 60 votes and..." Lies and misdirection. Those who control the GOP are corrupt liars. They are there to cement their control (as the majority or not) and feather their nests. What can you do?
Is the GOP really, truly incompetent, or there something much more sinister and corrupt about its consistent failure to shrink government and its tyranny (or is it both)? Read: The empty majority
Richard Burr: Come on, we're not going to get health care done this year
If the Republican Party had pursued its platform, the Tea Party Movement would never have materialized. If Richard Burr and the other two-faced Republican Sacajaweas* had not been bald-faced lying to us, the party that controls the House, Senate and White House would have already repealed Obamacare... but most of them ARE rank liars. Meadows, Budd, Cruz, Lee and a few others—by being politicians of integrity—are exceptions to the GOP rule. It is no small truth that Congresspeople face enormous pressures and must make compromises on very complicated, nuanced matters. To sit in Moore County and demand they behave as we would (with our limited information) would be naive and unfair. However, what is 100% reasonable and unquestionable is the expectation these people won't LIE to us. Most do. Burr did and this is just one example. "What about the Democratic Party?" you ask. Well, it is hopelessly lost to an underlying and increasingly open Marxist agenda, and conservatives don't vote for Dems except when punishing corrupt Repubs. More salient, our Congresspeople aren't Dems, are they? Which is worse? An enemy standing at your door and threatening to blow up your house, or a "ally" who is in the back room releasing termites? It's a tough call, but this blog and the article that sparked it are about Richard Burr, Republican, NC. *a Chris Plant-ism This Wall Street Journal article recommends that Mitch McConnell, the despicable Senate Majority Leader, dispense with the Senate "Filibuster Law" in order to save the republic: The Filibuster Is Not a Suicide Pact
The Republicans control everything and yet they control nothing; and yet they DO nothing. What: Demand that Burr, Tillis and Hudson (or your rep if you're not in the 8th NC District)* immediately become visibly active in the fight against the daily, relentless, unfounded attempts to neutralize the Trump Administration* via death by 1000 cuts. Why: The Democrats (incl. the media) and the Establishment Republicans are attempting to destroy the President and his "drain the Swamp" agenda. You decide whether your Congressional politicians are part of the GOP Establishment, but the 8th District's (Burr, Tillis, Hudson) are certainly not helping the President with the good and vital parts of his agenda such as slaying Obamacare and funding the wall.** Why is it important: The Establishment (both parties) is unified in its mission to protect its power (i.e., the "DC Swamp"). Some are shouting in our faces while others work more passively. However, like a stack of wood, the mutual support network will collapse if it looses some blocks. We can't impact the Democrats, but we have three squishy Republicans who do depend on our votes. Force just a few of these swamp rats to pull out of the "Get Trump" network and the strain on the remaining blocks will collapse the effort. How: Convince your elected Establishmentarians (Burr, Tillis and Hudson) that whether or not the Swamp drowns the President, you will make them pay for being part of if. Call 2-3 times each week to demand to know what your Senators and Representatives are doing to actively fight back against the smear-and-obfuscation campaign under way against the President. They are using Alinsky's Rules #8 and #11. What to say and how to say it: Be yourself and speak your own thoughts. It's good to have a list of points that are important to you. Be candid. Don't say anything you don't mean. Don't attack the person on the phone. Address behavior, not motivation (after all, you're not psychic). Be direct and straight to your point. Passion is great but be civil; don't curse or insult. The person answering the phone doesn't make policy (even if s/he does try to argue with you). Just ask your questions (if you have any) and state the action you want the politician to take. A few examples:

**Anyone who regularly visits the MTC Website or attends meetings knows that we are not "fanboys" of the President. As constitutionalists and conservatarians, we oppose policies such as protectionism (anti-free market) and the titan "infrastructure" spending scheme (centralized, national debt-growing spending). We do not blindly follow or advocate for any politician. MTC operates on a conservatarian* philosophy. It is non-partisan and equally supportive/critical of representatives of political parties who actively promote/undermine the freedom and value of the individual citizen or the security of the American people. Generally, the "Establishment" or the "Political Class" is composed of those from whatever political party that seek, above all else, to preserve the power and monetary benefits they enjoy or aspire to. They may have philosophical leanings, especially in the early days of their political careers, but those are secondary to maintaining and advancing their personal gain. Consequently, principle and ethics are buried. The ends justify the means and these people often lie and deceive, especially to the voters. The Republican Party's promise to repeal Obamacare, or the Democratic Party's claim to be for the "little guy" or the "working man" are examples. Enter the Robin Hayes, the former US House Rep from what is now our (8th) district, and the current chairman of the NC Republican Party. In Congress, Hayes was a "moderate" conservative. For example, he voted against the auto manufacturer's bailout but for the $800 billion "stimulus." Since leaving Congress he has been "iron-fisted" in the state's Republican Party politics, obstructing grass roots conservatives at every turn. Perhaps the starkest example is the way he ran the last state party convention (as reported by several of our members), where he declared the apparent winner (a principled, "Tea Party" conservative) to have lost the "stand-up" vote, then refused to conduct a written vote, declaring his preferred candidate the winner. Hayes is now being challenged by Jim Womack, a man with a respected reputation for principled behavior and willingness to fall on his sword for the right thing, a la conservatives such as Ted Cruz and Mark Meadows. We urge NC Republican delegates who desire to reduce the level of hypocrisy and cronyism in your party to attend your convention and vote for Jim Womack. *reference solely to facilitate understanding of our organization's political philosophy; MTC has no connection, affiliation or contact with any "Conservatarian" organization
