WARNING:  Former Congressional Rep. Is Now Running For NC Lt. Governor

3/29/2019

Picture
Moore Tea Citizens heartily "anti-endorses" Renee Ellmers for any elected, appointed or volunteer position in any governmental body in any state.  She is an arrogant liar who embodies the Political Class; the Establishment.  Many of our members have personal experience with her in North Carlolina and/or Washington, D.C.

As with everything, we don't expect thinking people who value integrity, liberty and small government to simply take our words for it.  Once you investigate her voting record and the way she treated her constituents, you'll see for yourself.

RECOMMENDATION:  Do whatever is legally, ethically and morally proper to keep this ambitious demagogue out of another elected office.

Racist slob won NC House GOP candidate nomination with 824 votes

7/6/2018

THIS is one of the reasons you are wrong if you are simply an "R-voter" (or a "D-voter"). This guy is an out-and-out, vile bigot. A year or so ago, Moore Tea Citizens was the object of his ignorant, stupid, white supremacist  hatred.

NC House District 42 is Democrat-heavy, so this loon is unlikely to be elected, but you are one of those "I could never vote for a Democrat (or Republican)" people, this should serve as a cautionary note. Every decent person in the 24th, regardless of voter registration, should vote for the Democrat in November.

Controversy surrounds NC GOP race between Hayes and challenger Womack

5/6/2017

Picture
MTC operates on a conservatarian* philosophy. It is non-partisan and equally supportive/critical of representatives of political parties who actively promote/undermine the freedom and value of the individual citizen or the security of the American people.

Generally, the "Establishment" or the "Political Class" is composed of those from whatever political party that seek, above all else, to preserve the power and monetary benefits they enjoy or aspire to. They may have philosophical leanings, especially in the early days of their political careers, but those are secondary to maintaining and advancing their personal gain. Consequently, principle and ethics are buried. The ends justify the means and these people often lie and deceive, especially to the voters. The Republican Party's promise to repeal Obamacare, or the Democratic Party's claim to be for the "little guy" or the "working man" are examples.

Enter the Robin Hayes, the former US House Rep from what is now our (8th) district, and the current chairman of the NC Republican Party. In Congress, Hayes was a "moderate" conservative. For example, he voted against the auto manufacturer's bailout but for the $800 billion "stimulus." Since leaving Congress he has been "iron-fisted" in the state's Republican Party politics, obstructing grass roots conservatives at every turn. Perhaps the starkest example is the way he ran the last state party convention (as reported by several of our members), where he declared the apparent winner (a principled, "Tea Party" conservative) to have lost the "stand-up" vote, then refused to conduct a written vote, declaring his preferred candidate the winner.

Hayes is now being challenged by Jim Womack, a man with a respected reputation for principled behavior and willingness to fall on his sword for the right thing, a la conservatives such as Ted Cruz and Mark Meadows. We urge NC Republican delegates who desire to reduce the level of hypocrisy and cronyism in your party to attend your convention and vote for Jim Womack.

Film Review: "Hillary's America" by Dinesh D'Souza

7/23/2016

Overall: Excellent. It was engaging/entertaining, informative and of full-budget production quality

Plot: The movie is divided into two themes. The first exposes and documents the actual record of racism in the Democratic Party. The second makes a compelling case for the corruption of the Clintons on a global scale.

The Good
  • Substance: Pithy; packs a lot of information into two hours without being wearisome. D’souza not only exposes facts (documented; not wild-eyed inferences) that surprised me, and I am not a Low Information Voter. He makes a good case by way of substantive support. I’m a realist and a skeptic, but I did see a partisan attack that ignored facts and insults the intelligence of the viewer. To the contrary, I was satisfied by the evidence he presents.
  • Technical: The “Hollywood” aspect the movie—quality, effects, entertainment, etc.—was top notch. It looks like a lot of money went into the production and it paid off.

The Bad: There is little to criticize. Out of almost two hours of rapid-fire data and assertions, there were only two points that I thought were a bit weak, but neither were false nor out of context.

NC Supreme Court Primary is on June 7

5/29/2016

We Must Keep the Conservative Majority on the Court!

All voters in North Carolina may vote in the nonpartisan Supreme Court primary on June 7th. Justice Robert H. (Bob) Edmunds is the only conservative candidate running against two Democrats and one Unaffiliated candidate in this primary. However, the candidates will NOT be listed by party affiliation on the ballot. Only the top 2 vote-getters, regardless of party, move on to the general election in November. No matter where you live in North Carolina, Bob Edmunds will be on your ballot on June 7th.

Therefore, we each need to help Bob Edmunds secure enough votes to move on to the November election, or we lose conservative control of the Supreme Court until January 1, 2023 (assuming we

Why I Support Bernie Sanders for President

2/11/2016

Yes, Bernie is way over the edge, but at least he isn’t the abject, hypocritical, blatant liar that Hillary is! She should probably be in jail but at the very least, nobody should vote for her, EVER. Feel the Bern, Baby!

OK, I don’t really want a (second) Marxist in the White House, so bear with me.

FACT 1: Unless she is indicted, Clinton is the odds-on favorite to be the Dem candidate. Bernie would be easier to beat. He’s an out-of-the-closet socialist and that frightens most conservative Democrats (maybe even all four of them!), but he’s unlikely to be the nominee.

FACT 2: Very few of our interactions with Progs (Progressives, aka “Libs” and “Leftists”) will afford the opportunity for a serious discussion of political philosophy. Most are momentary, such as waiting in line with a 65-year-old woman with a “My body, my choice” lapel pin, or buying headphones from a bearded, 23-year-old hipster with a

What Is Missing From Candidates Speeches?

2/11/2016

I hear candidates speaking about what they will do if they are President. I feel a missing rhetoric. Abraham Lincoln's rhetoric rang of it: "It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us." John Kennedy's said: "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country."

Where are the words stirring Americans to take individual responsibility, to take personal charge of our own lives, to work for the good of ourselves and our families, and our nation?
