Paul Ryan, where were you 2012? 2013? 2014? 2015....

9/2/2017

I can't prove Speaker Paul Ryan's intent, but as a intellectually honest, keen observer, the goal of the Swamp (AKA the Establishment, Dems and Repubs) is clear: destroy the Trump presidency and grow government.

Ryan will file a brief with Supreme Court to try to block Obama’s immigration policies. Why? Because Trump is now threatening to cancel DACA, which he correctly condemned as unconstitutional (which it is) when he was a candidate. So, for FIVE YEARS this dictatorial power grab has been in place and the Republicans are only now challenging it? All that this cynical ploy lacks is a long string of show-votes sent to Obama for certain veto like the Republicans did with Obamacare.

This is NOT a "Do Nothing" Congress, it is an "Undermine the President and Maintain An Immense, Overbearing Government That We Control" Congress.

Reality: The Democrats are out-of-the-closet Socialists and Communists, so far from Truman and JFK that those men would be considered "conservatives," by the modern party (think Jim Webb. That is clear.

What about the GOP?

You loyal Republicans need to smell coffee. It's frightening, but you need to do it. You've been assuming that the Republican politicians who say they believe what you do will actually work for what they promise you. How's that working out for you? They cast occasional good votes, yes, but the aggregate is a lie and you know it. Obamacare? The border wall? Tax cuts? Stopping national money funding Planned Parenthood and Public Radio/TV? Stopping Common Core and the insidious (and growing) control on education by the NEA and other neo-Marxist organizations?
"We're only one half of one third of the government. Give us the Senate and..."
"We're only one branch of government. Give us the White House and..."
"The Democrats can filibuster everything we want to do in the Senate. Give us 60 votes and..."
Lies and misdirection. Those who control the GOP are corrupt liars. They are there to cement their control (as the majority or not) and feather their nests.

What can
you do?
  1. Vote against liars, even if they are the "lessor of two evils." Both the bullet and the "lessor" poison will kill the Republic just the same. Show the GOP the lies won't fly.
  2. Stop donating to your political and party and send your money only to the candidates you actually want in office.
  3. Browbeat your NC General Assembly representatives to push and vote for the Convention of States.
  4. Write short, polite, to-the-point notes to the President and your U.S. Senators and Representative in D.C.
  5. If you're a Moore County Republican, ask your county and state party officials what the goal is. "Are we simply here to elect and re-elect R's?" If they give you some variant of the "lessor of two evils" mantra, call them out. Ask them why they aren't finding and running people who will actually push your party's platform.

The Empty Majority

Lying GOPE Watch — Richard Burr

6/3/2017

Richard Burr: Come on, we're not going to get health care done this year

If the Republican Party had pursued its platform, the Tea Party Movement would never have materialized. If Richard Burr and the other two-faced Republican Sacajaweas* had not been bald-faced lying to us, the party that controls the House, Senate and White House would have already repealed Obamacare... but most of them ARE rank liars. Meadows, Budd, Cruz, Lee and a few others—by being politicians of integrity—are exceptions to the GOP rule.

It is no small truth that Congresspeople face enormous pressures and must make compromises on very complicated, nuanced matters. To sit in Moore County and demand they behave as we would (with our limited information) would be naive and unfair. However, what is 100% reasonable and unquestionable is the expectation these people won't LIE to us. Most do. Burr did and this is just one example.

"What about the Democratic Party?" you ask. Well, it is hopelessly lost to an underlying and increasingly open Marxist agenda, and conservatives don't vote for Dems except when punishing corrupt Repubs. More salient, our Congresspeople aren't Dems, are they? Which is worse? An enemy standing at your door and threatening to blow up your house, or a "ally" who is in the back room releasing termites? It's a tough call, but this blog and the article that sparked it are about Richard Burr, Republican, NC.

It's Time For Some Butt-kicking, North Carolinia

5/17/2017

The Republicans control everything and yet they control nothing; and yet they DO nothing.
    —Mark Levin, May 17, 2017
What: Demand that Burr, Tillis and Hudson (or your rep if you're not in the 8th NC District)* immediately become visibly active in the fight against the daily, relentless, unfounded attempts to neutralize the Trump Administration* via death by 1000 cuts.

Why: The Democrats (incl. the media) and the Establishment Republicans are attempting to destroy the President and his "drain the Swamp" agenda. You decide whether your Congressional politicians are part of the GOP Establishment, but the 8th District's (Burr, Tillis, Hudson) are certainly not helping the President with the good and vital parts of his agenda such as slaying Obamacare and funding the wall.**

Why is it important: The Establishment (both parties) is unified in its mission to protect its power (i.e., the "DC Swamp"). Some are shouting in our faces while others work more passively. However, like a stack of wood, the mutual support network will collapse if it looses some blocks. We can't impact the Democrats, but we have three squishy Republicans who do depend on our votes. Force just a few of these swamp rats to pull out of the "Get Trump" network and the strain on the remaining blocks will collapse the effort.

How: Convince your elected Establishmentarians (Burr, Tillis and Hudson) that whether or not the Swamp drowns the President, you will make them pay for being part of if. Call 2-3 times each week to demand to know what your Senators and Representatives are doing to actively fight back against the smear-and-obfuscation campaign under way against the President. They are using Alinsky's Rules #8 and #11.

What to say and how to say it: Be yourself and speak your own thoughts. It's good to have a list of points that are important to you. Be candid. Don't say anything you don't mean. Don't attack the person on the phone. Address behavior, not motivation (after all, you're not psychic). Be direct and straight to your point. Passion is great but be civil; don't curse or insult. The person answering the phone doesn't make policy (even if s/he does try to argue with you). Just ask your questions (if you have any) and state the action you want the politician to take. A few examples:
  • I want to see Richard on television demanding the Speaker introduce wall-funding bill.
  • I want Sen Burr to stop using of his committee as platform for repeating rumors and defaming the President.
  • Why isn't ("Swampwater") on WRAL condemning the fake news-based attacks on the White House?
  • What makes him think that that by protecting the Swamp we'll let him stay in it?
  • What is he doing to actively fund the recovery of the military?
  • Why haven't I heard him on TV and radio shouting support for the regulatory rollbacks the President has and is making?
  • Why is he not killing Obamacare so the Free Market can rescue medicine in America?
  • Introducing bills that go nowhere feels a lot like Swampmud is patting me on the head. When am I going to see results??

Controversy surrounds NC GOP race between Hayes and challenger Womack

5/6/2017

Picture
MTC operates on a conservatarian* philosophy. It is non-partisan and equally supportive/critical of representatives of political parties who actively promote/undermine the freedom and value of the individual citizen or the security of the American people.

Generally, the "Establishment" or the "Political Class" is composed of those from whatever political party that seek, above all else, to preserve the power and monetary benefits they enjoy or aspire to. They may have philosophical leanings, especially in the early days of their political careers, but those are secondary to maintaining and advancing their personal gain. Consequently, principle and ethics are buried. The ends justify the means and these people often lie and deceive, especially to the voters. The Republican Party's promise to repeal Obamacare, or the Democratic Party's claim to be for the "little guy" or the "working man" are examples.

Enter the Robin Hayes, the former US House Rep from what is now our (8th) district, and the current chairman of the NC Republican Party. In Congress, Hayes was a "moderate" conservative. For example, he voted against the auto manufacturer's bailout but for the $800 billion "stimulus." Since leaving Congress he has been "iron-fisted" in the state's Republican Party politics, obstructing grass roots conservatives at every turn. Perhaps the starkest example is the way he ran the last state party convention (as reported by several of our members), where he declared the apparent winner (a principled, "Tea Party" conservative) to have lost the "stand-up" vote, then refused to conduct a written vote, declaring his preferred candidate the winner.

Hayes is now being challenged by Jim Womack, a man with a respected reputation for principled behavior and willingness to fall on his sword for the right thing, a la conservatives such as Ted Cruz and Mark Meadows. We urge NC Republican delegates who desire to reduce the level of hypocrisy and cronyism in your party to attend your convention and vote for Jim Womack.

Wrong, Sen Tillis. The President DOES Have a Mandate

2/17/2017

TELL TILLIS THAT CONSERVATIVES DO HAVE A MANDATE FOR CHANGE ON THE IMMIGRATION ISSUE

Thom Tillis emailed to me that the voters didn't give Republicans a mandate for change.  I very strongly disagree!

Email Tillis on his House website (92% effective) or call 202-224-6342 (84% effective, but higher if you are personal and passionate).

One of Trump's strongest selling points was "Build the Border Wall."  Now this wimp Tillis is spouting to the Charlotte Observer and the Wall Street Journal and the Senate and his constituents that the election was a mandate to cast aside their petty partisan differences in order to deliver solutions that benefit the nation!

The benefit to the nation is border enforcement and visa enforcement — keeping out drug traffickers, terrorists, and yes, people who have it economically tough in their country and think they deserve, they have the right, to come to the USA.  A country that cannot protect its borders does not deserve to be called a country.

Tillis' emphasis is on securing 60 votes to get an immigration bill passed.  However, there are Democrats who are up for re-election in 2018 whose districts favored Trump.  Rather than fighting for what is best for America, and convincing Democrats to join him, Tillis is groveling in the sand.

Tillis says everyone wants their position on one end of the spectrum or the other.  I think Border Security is smack dab in the middle, an absolute no-brainer.  All Americans DESERVE border security.

Tillis said that "All [Americans] said was to produce results."  I strongly disagree.  I believe that it is better to NOT create a law than to create a BAD law.

The first steps under Tillis' proposal would tighten border security and deport any illegal immigrants engaged in criminal activities while also providing some temporary legal status for people brought to the country illegally at a young age by their parents.  WAIT!  Isn't the second part of that Obama's illegal DACA program (Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals)?   Isn't the United States already supposed to be enforcing its borders?  Isn't the United States already supposed to be deporting illegal aliens, especially those engaged in criminal activities.  This is not bipartisanship.  This is caving to Obama's illegal executive action.

EMAIL or CALL Sen. Thom Tillis and tell him the Republicans do have a mandate to protect our borders and enforce our visa and immigration laws.

Thom Tillis Is Not a Friend of Americans Seeking Jobs

2/12/2017

Tillis is not a friend of Americans seeking jobs.  Tillis is not a friend of the U.S.A. trying to pay down its trillion dollar national debt

Please read the below Charlotte Observer article.

"You will never satisfy the far extremes on the left and the right," Tillis, R-N.C., told Fox News. His aim, he said, is "to get something to the president's design that he will sign."

Tillis acts as if enforcing the immigration laws, building barriers to illegal immigration, and a system to track visa overstays would be far right actions.

Tillis acts as if President Trump would not sign a bill that doesn't include relief for illegal aliens.  Hello, we no longer have Obama as President.

According to the CH, he told The Wall Street Journal that "his plan would aim to tighten border security and toughen enforcement of immigration laws - goals often cited by Republicans - while providing some kind of protective legal status for the roughly 111 million immigrants in the U.S. illegally, a Democratic priority."

Clearly, Reagan tried to do that.  The relief for illegals was actually put into action.

Now it is time to put border security into action.

What Do You Think About the "Reign of Terror"?

For Repub. Readers: Report On "Open House & Listening Session" with Robin Hayes at NCGOP HQ, May 4, 2016

I discussed with Mr. Hayes how trivial things can become points of unnecessary friction, for example, the use of the term "grassroots" has become very contentious among the various feuding factions. Several announcements from NCGOP Communications have recently been sent out declaring that "Grassroots Republicans" were responsible for electing Hayes, removing Harnett, etc.. The very people that Mr. Hayes was now attempting to reconcile with were being unnecessarily offended just by the use of this term, and how simple it would be to avoid this unnecessary offense just by ceasing the use of "grassroots" in communiqués from the NCGOP headquarters. Mr. Hayes acknowledged that would be a very small

On Wednesday’s Mark Levin show

2/17/2016

Sen. Ted Cruz calls in to defend himself against Donald Trump and Marco Rubio. For one, Trump keeps threatening these frivolous lawsuits against Cruz. Donald Trump’s lawyers are numb-skulls if they move forward with a lawsuit against Ted Cruz. A defamation lawsuit against Cruz brought by Trump would be thrown out of court. Trump is used to getting his way, by threatening lawsuits and it won’t work with Cruz who is inviting Trump to sue him. Many who support Trump would have supported Ross Perot in the 90’s. Also, the Republican establishment has now gotten behind Marco Rubio. It is made even more obvious because now Gov. Nikki Haley in South Carolina has endorsed him. The establishment is willing to elect Rubio in spite of his support of the Gang of 8 and pledged not to immediately rescind Obama’s executive order on amnesty. Later, the Democrat Party, which tried to destroy Justice Clarence Thomas and blocked Miguel Estrada, are pulling the race card yet again. It’s time that Senate Republicans push back against this race baiting and not hold any hearings for Obama’s Supreme Court nominees. Finally, Congressman Louie Gohmert calls in to discuss his Congressional race and his opponents nasty ads against him.
